Buzos nadan con el tiburón más grande del mundo en las costas de Hawaii

Un equipo de buzos en las costas de Hawaii nadaron con el que se cree sea el tiburon blanco mas grande del mundo.

El tiburón hembra de seis metros, con marcas similares a «Deep Blue«, el tiburón blanco más grande registrado, hizo su aparición sorpresa el martes, uniéndose a otros tiburones que se alimentaban de un cadáver de ballena de Oahu, compartió NDTV.com

«Vimos unos pocos (tiburones tigre) y luego ella se acercó y todos los demás tiburones se separaron, y ella comenzó a rozar el bote», dijo Ocean Ramsey, uno de los buceadores, que relató el extraordinario encuentro al Honolulu Star Adviser.

«Ella era simplemente una gigante hermosa, hermosa y gentil, que quería usar nuestro bote como un puesto de rascado», agregó Ramsey, quien nadó con el tiburón todo el día y capturó imágenes impresionantes. «Salimos al amanecer, y ella se quedó con nosotros prácticamente todo el día».

Ramsey cree que se trata de «Deep Blue» el tiburón hembra de unos 50 años de edad, que ha de pesar unas 2,5 toneladas. Ramsey dijo que era sorprendentemente ancha y que pudiese estar embarazada.

Los avistamientos de grandes tiburones blancos son raros en Hawai, donde el agua es demasiado caliente.

I waited quietly, patiently, observing as she swam up to the dead sperm whale carcass and then slowly to me passing close enough I gently put my hand out to maintain a small space so her girth could pass. I know some people criticize touch but what some don’t realize is that sometimes sharks seek touch, she swam away escorted by two rough-toothed dolphins who danced around her over to one of my @oneoceandiving shark research vessels and proceeded to use it as a scratching post, passing up feeding for another need.
