Miami restaurant Sanguich, winner of the Michelin Bib Gourmand three times in a row, will be opening a third establishment in Coral Gables on June 7, which will be the largest of all.

The chosen location is located at 111 Palermo Avenue on the ground floor of a new mixed-use complex called The Plaza and has 2,100 square feet that will accommodate 75 guests. The interior dining area has seating for 50 customers and a less elegant elevated space conducive to quiet conversation.

Outside there is a patio with benches for family use that can seat another 25 visitors. The new flagship location will house the largest window in the City Beautiful, which will be open all day and will undoubtedly become very popular as the ideal destination for both conversation and enjoying a delicious Cuban sandwich or a cup of coffee.

Commenting on this wonderful achievement, Rosa Romero, co-owner of Sanguich de Miami, said: “Our new Coral Gables location continues to embody our deep Cuban roots, with a menu designed to honor that legacy. Farm-to-table freshness remains our cornerstone, as we meticulously source the finest ingredients, ensuring that every bite is a testament to our passion and tradition.”

This menu will feature all the exclusive flavors that have guaranteed the success and distinction of this venture since its inception in 2015, with the classic offerings of the iconic Cuban dish made with slow-cooked pork loin and marinated in garlic and other spices to offer a softer texture and a more intense flavor, as well as bread with suckling pig, bread with croquette, and bread with steak. To complement these dishes, customers will be able to choose from the various options of existing milkshakes, including those typical of Cuban culinary culture such as wheat and banana. In addition, diners will have the opportunity to delight themselves with breakfast products that will soon be incorporated into the menu.

Daniel Figueredo, also co-owner of Sanguich, said: “Launching in Coral Gables feels like a homecoming for us. We started humbly with a small pop-up at an art festival, and now, almost seven years later, we are proud to expand into a stunning new space that we have always dreamed of.”

In 2018, the business was a bustling shipping container store, but its owners later found a better location on Calle Ocho in the Little Havana neighborhood.

However, its co-owners plan to continue expanding and the next location will be in downtown Miami, at Bayside Marketplace.

The Coral Gables food center will be open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 00 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 00 p.m. Delivery services will be offered through UberEats and DoorDash.
