Miami resident wins $1 million prize after buying lucky ticket in Florida Lottery scratch-off game

Florida Lottery officials announced Monday that a Miami resident won a $1 million prize when he purchased the winning ticket in the $1,000,000 A Year for Life Spectacular scratch-off game available in the state.

The lucky winner, identified as Nasser Delgado, 40, went to the Lottery District Office in Miami to claim the prize in question, choosing to receive a one-time payment equivalent to $640,000, a significant amount that will surely turn his life around 180 degrees.


This man purchased the lucky ticket at Kendale Service Center, Inc., located at 13700 Southwest 56th Street in Miami, so that entity will benefit from a $2,000 commission.

In a news release, the Florida Lottery noted: “The $50 scratch-off game, $1,000,000 A Year for Life Spectacular, launched in February and offers two $1 million A Year for Life top prizes and 234 $1 million prizes.”

He added: “In addition, scratch-off tickets include more than $1.6 billion in cash prizes. The overall odds of winning in the game are 1 in 4.50.”
