Massive renovation of Sunset Place will seek to raise nine towers of up to 33 stories

Spectacular good news for Sunset Place in South Florida, as according to The Next Miami, a massive renovation is coming, for which plans have already been presented.

The architect in charge is Heatherwick Studio, while ODP is the architect of record, while Midtown Development is the developer of the project that proposes a redevelopment that would include nine towers of up to 33 floors.

One of them will have 12 floors, another tower is planned to have 15 floors, the third will have 21 floors, and of course the most amazing one will have 33 floors.

Likewise, some previews reveal that Sunset Palace will have 1.513 residential units, 287 hotel rooms, as well as a movie theater and theater with capacity for 1.300 people.

The ambitious project will seek to allocate 149.506 square feet of retail space, 50.892 square feet of office space, and 2.418 parking spaces.

The design wants to avoid towers atop faceless podiums, a rendering says. Instead, there will be slim towers raised on columns that allow pedestrian activity to flow underneath. There will also be a new street network and smaller retail units and food and drink businesses.
