A Miami restaurant has reached international status. Sunny's, the beloved Little River steakhouse famous for its beautiful patio and custom-made martinis, has been included in Condé Nast Traveler's 2025 Hot List, an annual listing of the most notable new restaurants around the world.

The list ranges from Mexico City to Melbourne and highlights the most talked-about openings, with Sunny's, among them, rising in popularity by transforming what was once a COVID-19 pop-up into one of the most spectacular restaurants in the entire U.S.

"It's hard to imagine a time when Sunny's Steakhouse didn't exist in Miami. It instantly took on the feel of a classic institution despite debuting its permanent iteration in October 2024," noted Condé Nast Traveler's Kate Kassin.

The expert noted that anywhere in the establishment, people can experience the best of the cuisine accompanied by excellent service. "Whether you're outdoors surrounding the tree or inside the mid-century modern space with windows open to the patio, there's not a bad seat in the house to enjoy steakhouse-style food and sip a take-your-own martini," Kassin said.

He adds that dishes range from soft Parker House rolls to pastas seasoned with the now-iconic blue crab agnolotti, which pays homage to the team's Jaguar Sun roots. You can also enjoy a hearty charcoal-grilled ribeye steak with potato butter sauce and chimichurri, or try an extensive cocktail list that includes a whole section celebrating gin and custom-made vodka martinis.

The news comes just weeks after Food & Wine named Sunny's one of the 15 best restaurants in the U.S. for 2025 and the Michelin Guide included it in its selection of recommended places in Miami last March.

The steakhouse, which reopened in October 2024 with a fixed capacity of 220 diners, has received accolades for its blend of vintage and contemporary style, as well as its wood-fired meats and pastas that rival Miami's finest.

Inside, the magic of vintage style merges with the essence of Florida: imagine finely decorated tables, a sprawling outdoor space, and artistic menus. Outside, string lights intertwine with the majestic fig tree, creating a scene that evokes both an outdoor barbecue and a fantasy story.

Condé Nast isn't the only award the restaurant has received this year. In early April, Food & Wine ranked it number 13 in its selection of the 15 best restaurants in the U.S. Just days before this event, Sunny's was included in the Michelin Guide to Florida for 2025.

This popular steakhouse also landed a spot on New Times' list of the 9 most notable restaurant openings in Miami for 2024. Not bad for a place that was previously just a pop-up in a parking lot.
