A report made by the Herald reveals that the owners of Jungle Island are considering building condominiums on the property.

The city of Miami owns the land, which it has leased to the operator of Jungle Island for the purpose of operating a theme park.

ESJ Capital Partners and Terra are currently in discussions with the city about developing a condominium project on the five-acre site.

ESJ has taken over the lease previously held by the developer of Jungle Island and has submitted plans for a new 300-room hotel on the site.

As part of the new project, a free 13-acre park accessible to all has been proposed.

On the south side of the island, a new boardwalk will be built to link to another developer's ambitious mixed-use project. In addition, the Miami Children's Museum is located in the same area.
