The estimated Mega Millions jackpot for the drawing scheduled for Friday, Dec. 27 is $1.15 billion, following a Christmas Eve drawing in which no one won the jackpot. If one chooses the cash option for this jackpot on Friday, it would rise to $516,1 million.
This would mark the fifth-largest Mega Millions jackpot ever recorded.
In the Christmas Eve lottery, four tickets from California, Missouri, Pennsylvania and Wyoming secured a prize of $1 million each.
In 2024, three people won the jackpot. The most recent winner, who received $810 million, occurred in Texas on September 10.
