
The Houston Police Department, Texas, arrested a man accused of killing a 34-year-old man at a home in the southwest part of the city.
Andrés Fernández De La Paz, a 36-year-old Cuban, faces charges for the shooting death of another person at 11203 Whittingham Lane, which occurred on Sunday at 4 p.m.
When authorities arrived at the scene, they found a 34-year-old man, whose identity has not yet been released to his loved ones by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken to Ben Taub Hospital, where his death was confirmed.
In a statement issued by the police on their X account, they shared the news, requesting information regarding the suspect's whereabouts along with an image of him. They also urged the community to contact the city's HPD Homicide hotlines to help arrest him.
It is currently unknown when he will appear before a judge, nor is the motive for the murder of the other person known. Authorities are continuing the investigation and are gathering all forensic and witness information to present to the court.
