A new resource has emerged for South Florida residents to combat fraud. The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office has launched an online platform to facilitate reporting fraudulent incidents involving homeowners' associations and condominiums in the county.

This program is a response to growing concerns from community members who have reported financial misconduct and corruption within their associations' boards.

Local media outlets have been consistently reporting on cases of scams in several South Florida neighborhoods, emphasizing the need for stronger action.

The website, supported by the Miami-Dade Organized Crime Bureau, offers a platform for residents to submit reports when they suspect or have evidence of fraudulent activity within their associations.

"My priority is to protect homeowners from fraudulent activities that threaten their communities and their financial well-being. This specialized unit brings together investigators and resources to aggressively pursue those who commit fraud against homeowner associations and condominiums," said Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz, adding:

"Homeowners deserve transparency and accountability, and there is no place for this type of corruption in our county."

The Sheriff's Office has made it clear that it does not handle investigations related to contract disagreements, financial mismanagement, or regulatory violations, as these matters fall under the jurisdiction of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

Residents wishing to report an incident should refer to the How to Report Homeowner and Condominium Association Fraud section, where they can report details directly to the Organized Crime Bureau, which is committed to responding within 72 hours.

If you're looking for more information on how to file a report or the specific authority of each relevant agency, we suggest consulting the official website of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation or going directly to the reporting portal offered by the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office.
