$36 million Mega Millions jackpot has not yet been claimed

According to the Florida Lottery, the winner of the $36 million Mega Millions jackpot has not yet appeared at any of its offices to claim his prize. The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold at a Publix at 4495 Roosevelt Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida on August 15, 2023.

As the year draws to a close, no one has claimed the prize that will make them a millionaire for life. According to the lottery's requirements, the winner has only 60 days to obtain the money in a single payment in person at the headquarters. This expired on October 7 of this year. However, they can receive their money through annual installment payments as also reflected in the rules, but within the 180 days established from the date of the draw.

The winning numbers were 18-39-42-57-63 and the Mega Ball was 7. If you do not claim your ticket by Sunday, February 4th of next year, this ticket will expire. There are different rules for the lottery in different states, for example, California gives its winners a period of one year to claim their money from the date of the drawing.

The biggest jackpot in the game's history was also purchased at a Publix in Neptune Beach. The lucky winner bought a Quick Pick ticket and matched all five numbers along with the Mega Ball to win $5 billion, making it the fourth-largest jackpot ever won in the U.S. Two days ago, after two months, it was announced that the Times-Union declared Saltines Holdings LLC of Miami the winner. According to lottery rules in Florida, winners are allowed a certain amount of time to remain anonymous, but experts say there are ways to remain incognito.

On June 14, 2023, a person purchased a winning ticket at a Florida gas station worth $44 million, but it expired in early December. This time, the ticket was purchased at Sunoco Express, 2655 N. Orange Blossom Trail Kissimmee, Orange County, just a few miles from Universal Orlando.

Two Publix stores sold winning tickets, earning the admiration of some players. For many it is usually a coincidence, but it is no less true that it is tempting to buy tickets in these establishments, knowing that with luck one day you can become a millionaire.
