Florida lottery officials announced Tuesday that two lucky Mega Millions winners matched five of the six numbers drawn on their tickets, and will be able to claim their winnings worth $1 million, not including state taxes.

-According to the results of the random draw, the numbers were 11-17-33-39-43 and Megaball 14, the Megaplier was 4X and none of the tickets sold matched all six digits. One of the winning tickets was sold at the Circle K at 101 Buena Ventura Boulevard in Kissimmee. Meanwhile, the other was sold at the Presidente Supermarket at 2199 Northwest 36th Street in Miami via quick pick.

According to Florida Lottery rules, a prize winner has 180 days after the drawing to claim his or her money. If he or she wishes to receive an option to receive his or her money in cash, the person only has 60 days after the drawing to claim payment. To find out if your ticket is the winner, you can download the mobile app for iOS or Android and scan the barcode.

Lottery regulations state that scratch-off tickets and Fast Play game prizes “must be claimed within 60 days of the official game end date. Once the applicable time period has elapsed, the associated Florida Lottery ticket will expire.”

In the event a Mega Millions jackpot is not claimed within the 180-day period, funds to pay the unclaimed jackpot are turned over to lottery officials at their share of the jackpot rollover series sales, the Florida Lottery said.

State law requires that 80 percent of unclaimed prize funds from expired tickets be transferred to the Educational Improvement Trust Fund. The remaining 20 percent is returned to the prize pool for future drawings. The same will now apply to the $36 million that was not claimed.

If you want to be a Mega Millions winner, you'll need to be very lucky, as your chances of becoming a millionaire are 1 in 302.6 million. Next Friday, the lottery will be held again for a jackpot of $228 million, so if you want, you can pay $2 for a ticket in one of the 45 states in the country and change your life forever.
