Miami Carnival is an annual festival that reflects the city's multiculturalism, and is a celebration of culture that brings together Latin music, art, fashion and sports.
This year, the carnival will have as its new kings the members of the musical group “Gente de Zona”.
The news was announced by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana after releasing the official calendar of events that will take place during the festival.
The president of the aforementioned organization, Pablo Lau, declared in a press conference held last Wednesday, January 31, that the kings of Carnaval Miami 2024 will be Cuban artists Alexander Delgado Hernández and Randy Malcom Martínez, who will delight the public by performing several songs from their popular repertoire, including their new single "Por ahí."
The Miami Carnival will begin on February 10 and, one month later, will culminate with the iconic Calle Ocho Festival, located in the Little Havana neighborhood, one of the most important events in Latin music, which will feature a special performance by the Cuban duo.
Overall, the Carnival will be a unique experience that will include exhibitions of paintings, crafts, photography and jewelry. Attendees will also be able to enjoy live performances by other singers, as well as excellent gastronomic offerings.
Proceeds from Carnival will support youth development programs of the Kiwanis Little Havana Foundation, which provides college scholarships to low-income youth.
