A young Cuban woman with an I-220A visa caught the attention of social media by claiming she voluntarily returned to Cuba after living in the United States for two years. In a video posted on her TikTok account @yenym02, the young woman explains the reasons that led her to make this important life decision.

As she explains in the clip, which has been viewed by nearly 10 people and in response to a follower who didn't believe her story was true, she had a large part of her family in Cuba, including her husband, mother, and siblings. "My love, it's not contained. I was I-220A, I'd been in the US for two and a half years, and my husband was deported. My mother was in Cuba, my little brothers were in Cuba, my great-grandmothers were in Cuba. That's why I made the decision to return," said the young woman, who adds that she has no regrets and is happy with her decision.

The story was shared along with a short video in which she appears happy, seemingly adapting to her new surroundings in Cuba. While she doesn't provide additional information about the circumstances of her return or whether it was a personal choice or facilitated by immigration authorities, her statement has sparked a series of reactions on TikTok, with polarized comments between those who criticize her and those who support her choice.

"My husband is the only person I have in this country, and his final court date is in a year. If they issue a deportation order, I'll go with him too." "Well, babe, you have to be where you feel comfortable. Blessings and keep moving forward." "I take my hat off to your bravery, new follower." "I didn't even believe it until I saw you," were some of the messages from internet users.

The I-220A is an immigration document used by U.S. authorities that allows immigrants to be released under surveillance while their immigration status is being determined.

Numerous Cuban citizens have arrived in the United States under these circumstances, and their return to the island, whether by choice or under duress, often sparks debate. The woman did not provide information about her immigration status at this time, but stated that her return was due to family and personal reasons. "I'm happy," she firmly reiterated in her statement, affirming that she is not disappointed by her choice.
