Young Cuban woman in the United States reproaches those who criticize the country while enjoying the benefits: "I didn't understand"

Yesterday, a young Cuban woman accessed her TikTok account to leave a message that subsequently unleashed a host of comments in favor and against those who spend their lives criticizing the problems that the United States has while perceiving all the benefits that this great country is capable of providing to its residents, many of them unthinkable in their native countries.

Through her TikTok account «KarlyBeautyServices», the young woman asked her followers while eating a piece of corn on the cob: «Let me understand this… You live in the United States, you get benefits, you achieve dreams, but you only talk about the bad things about this country? I didn't understand». In the video itself, she also wrote an ironic text, but with all the intention in the world to understand what is happening today with many people: «Someone explain to me because I don't understand. Is the USA good or bad?».

Many Internet users reacted to the video by expressing different types of opinions, mostly from Cuban immigrants. Several of them attacked Cubans who criticize the country that allowed them to be people and live honestly from the sweat of their work and have all the comforts they never thought they would have on the Caribbean island.

«Because the worst plague in the world is ours. Envious, bad, dissatisfied, without horizons.» «Those from the «Garbage Islands» are the ones who most identify with what you just said. There are many people in this country who do not deserve to be here.» «Just like you do here, those are the ones who want to make this country the same as it came from.» «That is what is called being ungrateful.» «There are so many people talking and complaining about the school of food, how bad that goes down, ungrateful people,» are some of the accusatory criteria of the users.

On the other hand, there were those who, from their own point of view, defended the benefits that the country gave them and that have changed their lives. "I came legally and I have no "benefits"; I do work like those who are not favored by parole or another immigration instrument. I would never talk about this country where there is freedom and work for everyone," explained another Cuban.

The truth is that on several occasions you can see some people referring to harmful criteria against the country that received them when they needed to escape the misery and oppression that Cubans live on the island. Although many arrived through faster and safer means, it is no less true that the vast majority receive aid, jobs and papers in less time than other Latin immigrants, something that should be eternally appreciated.
