Florida Lottery officials announced Friday that one person was lucky enough to win a prize equivalent to $1 million in the $1,000,000 A Year for Life Spectacular scratch-off game.
The lucky winner, identified as Miguel Villavicencio, 59, a Hialeah resident, went to claim the significant amount this week, opting to receive a one-time payment of $685,000.
This gentleman purchased the lucky ticket at the Las Cuatro Hermanas supermarket, located at 810 E. 41st St., in Hialeah.
This commercial establishment will benefit from a commission of 2,000 dollars precisely for selling the winning ticket.
In a news release, the Florida Lottery noted: โThe $50 scratch-off game, $1,000,000 A Year for Life Spectacular, launched in February and offers two $1 million A Year for Life top prizes and 234 $1 million prizes.โ
He added: โIn addition, scratch-off tickets include more than $1.6 billion in cash prizes. The overall odds of winning in the game are 1 in 4.50.โ
