Florida Governor Ron Desantis has officially filed to run for the Republican nomination for President of the United States.
DeSantis filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday and is expected to make an official announcement later today.
Desantis will face former President Donald Trump, Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, among others.
