The person who won the $552 million Mega Millions jackpot in Illinois has now become an iLottery winner.
The winner, identified as a resident of the Chicago area, chose to remain anonymous.
The Illinois Lottery announced that the largest prize ever won through iLottery in U.S. history was claimed by the lucky winner of the MEGA Millionaire online game.
On June 4, the Mega Millions drawing had one lucky winner who successfully picked all five numbers along with the Mega Ball, which were 19-37-40-63-69-17.
The Illinois Lottery said the recent online win ranked as the ninth-largest Mega Millions jackpot in the game's history and the second-largest jackpot in Illinois.
