100-year-old Cuban woman who arrived with Humanitarian Parole dies in the United States

An elderly Cuban woman who became popular in the news after arriving in Miami on humanitarian parole at the age of 100 has died in the United States.

Victoria Domรญnguez Guzmรกn arrived in the United States on January 20 and apparently died recently due to lung complications, according to the Cubanos por el Mundo website, citing family sources.


Born in Alto Potrero, a rural community in Vertientes, Camagรผey, the old woman was known as La Gallega.

Her family, although saddened by the loss of Victoria, are happy that at least in her final days she was surrounded by her loved ones and with all the necessary attention.
