Lisandra Acevedo Évora, a Cuban mother active on TikTok (@lisandra.acevedo.evora), has once again sparked debate on social media with her latest video. In this clip, she claims that her experience in Miami is authentic, confirms that she has a ticket to return to Cuba, and expresses her difficulties in settling in the United States.

In response to her original post, she suggested she might have changed her mind and would try to make progress in the United States.

Just a few hours ago on her TikTok, Lisandra expressed through a video her continued disappointment over the lack of a secure job and a stable environment for her daughter.

She confirmed in her post that she had a return ticket to Cuba for this Friday, insisting that she was not being dishonest. “In none of the videos that I have made, I have told lies. But it is my fault because I did not do things the way I had to do them. I was not strong, I did not succeed. I did not do things the way I had to do them and I did not achieve anything, I did not succeed.”

She shared her difficulties in finding a job and expressed her concern for her daughter's well-being. "Yesterday I went out walking with her and I couldn't find work. I knocked on doors of businesses and couldn't find any. (.) I can't keep stumbling around with her. And the people who are offering me help, even if they are doing it from the heart, I can't know, I can't know. I'm scared, I'm with the girl."

To those who have speculated about his circumstances, he said that "here everything is not contained."

Several followers expressed their support, urging him not to return to Cuba, insisting that opportunities would arise and encouraging him to prioritize his daughter: “Don’t go, your daughter’s future is here, not in Cuba”; “If God put you here it is for a reason, don’t give up, keep looking for work.”

On the other hand, there were several who expressed their disapproval and doubted his motives. “It's always the same story, but in the end you never leave”; “If you really wanted to stay, you would have already accepted some of the many aids that have been offered to you.”

Although the Cuban seemed firm in her intention to return to the island, she gave a response to a user with a sharp twist to what she had said until now in her own post: "They gave me a ticket to Cuba, instead of helping me with that money, but after seeing the news I'm not going to give up, I swear."

She later posted another video on her wall that included a clip from the Univision 23 news segment covering her case in Miami.

In the responses to that post, she mentioned her circumstances once again: “I was going to give up and leave, I have my mother in Cuba, but after seeing this on the news, I am not going to give up, I am going to sell water on the street, you know, until I find work.”

In early February, influencer Dairon Cano tried to help her find a job, but Acevedo says he couldn't find her a reliable position.

Although he initially expressed his intentions to return to Cuba, his latest comments on TikTok indicate that he may have changed his mind about returning to the island.
