A Hispanic man, identified as Adrian Garcia, was arrested in Miami-Dade after attempting to shoot and kill his father., on the eve of Father's Day, reported Local 10 News.
The defendant remains at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center this Sunday, facing charges of attempted murder with injury.
Miami Police units responded to the scene of the incident, in the area of Northwest 48th Court and Second Street, shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday.
The father of the alleged perpetrator had to be transported to the hospital by Miami Fire Rescue paramedics, and the victim is reportedly in critical condition.
Officers were able to capture Garcia in the area of West Flagler Street and 60th Avenue. Police have asked anyone with information about this case to immediately contact Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
