Recently, actress Ana de Armas shared some images on her Instagram account several days after confirming her relationship with Manuel Anido Cuesta, who is the stepson and advisor of the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, an event that has generated much indignation both inside and outside the island.
The artist's inactivity on social media, a stance she has resorted to on other occasions when she has also been the center of intense controversy, came to an end this Thursday when she replied to a post by La Academia in her stories section of the aforementioned platform.
And it is a day like today, but five years ago, the film "Knives Out" was released, which received an Oscar nomination in its 92nd edition, and in which Ana de Armas acts as the lead alongside excellent actors such as Daniel Craig and Chris Evans.
However, the reappearance on social media of the Marilyn Monroe actress in "Blonde" included a snapshot recreating the gift sent by the French luxury company Louis Vuitton for Christmas, an action that many people could perceive as an affront to those who have advocated for her image to no longer be associated with this prestigious brand after her romance with a member of the Castro elite was made public.
The truth is that, following the strong controversy sparked by the young woman's direct link to the Cuban dictatorship, this emblematic fashion house has received multiple criticisms for not getting rid of her.
In fact, the Cuban philanthropist, businesswoman and influencer based in Miami, Taty Guiribitey, sent a letter of protest to Louis Vuitton, in which she informed the company that she would cease to be its client as long as Ana de Armas continued to be part of it.
In an interview with Alexander Otaola, Mamilover, as she is known on social media, said: "I sent them a letter and told them that I was still a client of theirs to this day, and that they couldn't count on me until they removed Ana de Armas as the image of the brand."
She added: "I am not the most important client and Bernard Arnault is not going to go bankrupt because of me, but they are going to lose a good few million because I do spend money on the brand, a lot, a lot, a lot; at least they will suffer that loss."
The news of the actress's love affair with Manuel Anido Cuesta has also caused her to be rejected by the Cuban community in Miami, which has been evidenced by the demands made by members of the community to the American brand of beauty and personal care products, Estée Lauder, consisting of the fact that Ana de Armas' face be eliminated from its advertising campaign.
