Miami Mayor Francis Suarez makes viral promotion to attract big tech companies to move to the city

Francis Suarez Mayor of Miami

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez is encouraging big tech companies to move their businesses to the city.

Over the past few weeks, Suarez has used Twitter to promote his city as a place for entrepreneurs and tech companies to relocate and grow their businesses.

The mayor said to Fox News that his tweets have organically attracted more than 16 million impressions, making the migration to Miami go viral.

Suarez argued that Miami’s “incredible” climate, tax structure, low crime rates and openness to business opportunities make it a worthy competitor to other burgeoning tech hubs like Austin, Texas.

The city has also received increased public attention after hosting major events like Super Bowl LIV and Art Basel, Suarez said, and major companies like Spotify and Blackstone are already planning to expand to Miami.

"We will continue to do everything possible to attract the business and intellectual class of our country to Miami to create well-paid jobs in a city like ours that wants to continue growing," said Suarez in an interview with Fox News.

Why do you want them to move if you don't let them open their businesses, you want to close everything?
