One person won a free ticket in the Florida Triple Jackpot game, a total of $1.75 million. The lucky winner picked up the ticket at a Publix on South Woodland Boulevard in DeLand. According to lottery officials, it is a quick-pick ticket that is free.

The winning numbers in last night's drawing were 8, 23, 28, 29, 44 and 45. The winning ticket holder can claim his or her prize at the Tallahassee Lottery headquarters. The jackpot for the game now stands at $250.000.

Jackpot Triple Play is a new Florida Lottery game that has the advantage of having three chances to win on every ticket you buy.

Each play costs $1 and corresponds to three lines of numbers. For the first line, you must choose six numbers from 1 to 46 (you can also choose to use the “Quick Pick” option where the numbers will be selected at random). Quick Pick then automatically selects two further lines, each with six numbers.

If you want to play the same numbers more than once, you must mark the number of consecutive draws you want to play (up to 30) in the Advance Play section of your play slip. During this draw, a line of six random numbers is selected using a mechanical lottery machine, and the winner will be the one with the same numbers drawn.

Tickets must be purchased up to twenty minutes before the drawing, otherwise you will be entered into the next drawing. Drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday night at 11:15 p.m. ET.

The jackpot starts at $500,000 and rolls over each time there is no winner, up to a maximum of $2,000,000. Once that cap is reached, any additional prize money (that would have been added to the jackpot before it reached $2 million) rolls over to the lower-tier prizes, meaning it is added to all of the lower-tier prizes for each drawing until someone wins the jackpot.
