A lucky man in California has secured a $1220 billion Mega Millions jackpot win, making it the fifth-largest prize in history.
The lucky ticket was purchased at Circle K, located at 3505 Rhonda Road in Cottonwood, California, within Shasta County, and matched all six numbers in the drawing held Friday night.
According to the lottery, the winning Mega Millions numbers were 3, 7, 37, 49, 55, with the golden Mega Ball being 6, and the cash value of the jackpot is projected to be $549.7 million.
According to Mega Millions, the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.
Mega Millions is available in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. A single ticket costs $2 for a chance to play.
