Lucky Miami man wins $214 million in Powerball

Lottery officials confirmed Tuesday that a lucky winner purchased a winning Powerball ticket at a Publix store in South Florida.

The $214 million jackpot in Monday's drawing was won by the lucky winner who successfully matched all five numbers (7, 23, 24, 56 and 60) as well as Powerball number 25, the official Powerball website reported.

Lottery officials have verified that the winning ticket was purchased at 9050 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami Shores, specifically at a Publix store.

Lottery officials are waiting for the winner to come forward and claim their prize. Players are advised to check their tickets for possible winning numbers.

According to the Florida Lottery, the winner must claim the prize by November 6.

The State Education Improvement Trust Fund received a $13,5 million boost from lottery officials who verified the series of jackpots.

The next lottery drawing is scheduled for Wednesday night and is expected to have a prize of $20 million.
