A Miami woman won a seven-figure sum in a Florida Lottery Scratch-Off game.
On Monday, lottery officials announced that Virginia Alvarez won the $2 million prize in the 100X The Cash game. She opted for the lump sum option, which amounts to a nice $1.28 million.
According to lottery officials, Alverez, 69, bought his $10 ticket at the Government Discount store on 7th Street in Miami. The store will receive an additional $4,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.
The 100X The Cash lottery offers nearly $250 million in prizes, including a grand prize of $2 million, similar to the one won by Alvarez. Players have the chance to win at odds of 1 in 3.49.
